Your Reports Stay Private. Here’s How.

You shouldn’t need a security background to trust a tool with your client’s unpublished report. This page explains what actually happens to your files in plain terms. No jargon, no fine print you have to decode.

The Short Version

What Actually Happens to Your Files

Locked before it leaves your computer

Your PDF is encrypted right in your browser, before it ever reaches the internet. It travels and sits in storage as a locked file the whole time.

Unlocked only for a moment

To run your review, the file is briefly unlocked inside Atlensa, then immediately locked again. It doesn’t sit around in a readable state.

Invisible to every other firm

Your projects, reports, and findings belong to your account only. No other client, and no other firm using Atlensa, can see your work.

The AI reads it, it doesn’t learn from it

Atlensa uses Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, to analyze your report. Your content is never used to train that model or any other.

We don’t sell your reports

Your content is yours. Atlensa doesn’t sell it, and doesn’t share it with anyone outside of running the review you asked for.

Old files delete themselves

Your documents and findings are kept for 12 months after a review, then permanently deleted. We email you two weeks ahead so you can save a copy first.

Step By Step

How a Review Actually Works

Your document stays locked at every point except the moment it’s actually being read, either by the AI to run your review or by you to look at the result.

01

You upload a PDF

It’s locked on your own computer before it’s sent anywhere.

02

It travels already locked

Atlensa’s servers never see a readable copy in transit.

03

It’s unlocked to run your review

Just long enough to read and analyze, then locked again right after.

04

Your findings are stored locked too

Tied to that one project, so a problem in one review can’t spill into another.

The Question Everyone Asks

What the AI Does With Your Report

It runs on Claude, through Amazon

Atlensa uses Anthropic’s Claude models, hosted through Amazon’s Bedrock service, inside Atlensa’s own AWS account. Your document never goes to a public chatbot or a consumer AI app.

Nothing is kept afterward

Each review is a one-time request. The model doesn’t remember your last review when it starts your next one, and nothing is stored on the AI side once the request finishes.

A person only looks if you ask

Atlensa staff don’t read client documents as a matter of routine. If a support issue ever requires someone to look at your specific file, we’ll tell you first.

Worth remembering

Atlensa flags things for a qualified reviewer to check. It doesn’t certify, approve, or sign a deliverable, and it doesn’t replace the professional judgment of the environmental professional of record. Every finding points back to a specific page and passage, so you can check it against the source yourself.

What's On You

A Few Things That Are Your Call, Not Ours

Most of security is on Atlensa. A few things depend on how your firm uses the tool.

  • Keep findings as a checklist, not a signature. Atlensa flags things for a qualified reviewer to check. It doesn’t certify or approve a deliverable. The environmental professional of record is still the one responsible for it.
  • Don’t upload certain sensitive data. Health information, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, and classified or export-controlled data shouldn’t go through any third-party tool, including Atlensa. Pre-screen before you upload.
  • Treat your login like a key to the office. Don’t share accounts between people. If someone leaves the firm, remove their access the same day.
  • Think before you share a link. A share link works for anyone who has it. Only send it to people who should see that review, and rotate the link if that circle changes.

Common Questions

Quick Answers

Does Atlensa use my documents to train AI models?
No. Atlensa uses Anthropic’s Claude models through Amazon Bedrock, and customer content is never used to train Claude or any other AI model.
Can other firms or Atlensa customers see my reports?
No. Projects, reports, and findings are private to the account that created them. No other client or firm using Atlensa can see them.
How long does Atlensa keep my files?
Documents and findings are kept for 12 months after a review is completed, then automatically and permanently deleted. Atlensa emails the account owner 14 days before deletion.
Is my document encrypted before it is uploaded?
Yes. Files are encrypted in the browser before upload and remain encrypted in storage. They are only decrypted briefly, inside Atlensa’s infrastructure, to run the review.
Can Atlensa staff read my documents?
Atlensa staff do not read client documents as a matter of routine. Access is limited to what is needed for support or incident investigation.
For Your IT Team or Client

Does Your IT Provider or a Client Need More Than This?

Some clients or IT contacts ask for the deeper technical version: exact encryption methods, the list of infrastructure providers we use, our data retention policy, and where things currently stand on audits and certifications. We keep all of that in one document you can forward along.
